Business Development EU Lead-, Drug Discovery, Coverage across Europe for a growing CdMO with the opportunity to build a team

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading CdMO who have a high end drug discovery site with substantial capacity to bring on new customers in Europe. What we are looking for is either someone with good business development experience within the Med Chem space, or , someone who is highly known and has a strong knowledge of Med Chem who would be interesting into moving across to a BD role. In principle this person will be the key BD lead for Europe and further steps can lead them to building a team and developing a P&L.

I personally think it would be a good step for someone to take a more leading role in business development and should you be hungry and able to build new revenues, then there will be many career steps ahead!

Location: UK/Switzerland/EU Wide working from home (Candidates must hold an EU/UK/Swiss passport)

Key Requirements:

  • A strong network within the pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry field, especially within the UK, Nordics and DACH markets
  • Strong experience either within CMO/CRO business development for drug discovery, or within the pharmaceutical sector as a buyer
  • For candidates from the BD side we look for some type of deal sheet
  • Life sciences/Chemistry degree
  • Fluency in English

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market mapping and approaching potential new clients in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Helping to build deals from beginning to end
  • Travelling to clients across Europe and attending key conferences
  • Working closely with global teams and reporting to the VP for Business Development Global
  • Looking after current key accounts within Europe
